Dumol Russian River Chardonnay 2007

A blend of different vineyards, their 2007 Chardonnay Russian River might turn out to be one of the best Chardonnays they have made under this moniker. Crisp acids, beautiful lemon butter notes intermixed with brioche and orange/nectarine notes are all present in this full-bodied wine, with the oak pushed well into the background. RP 93 (2 bottles)

Etre Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 2008

Intense and complex, with spicy fig, melon and toasty oak, this wine is full-bodied, complex and concentrated. (2 bottles)  

Plumpjack Reserve Chardonnay 2008

Aromas of white peaches, pear, orange blossom and warm apple pie filling are followed on the palate with flavors of Fuji apples, cinnamon stick and lemon curd. Very pleasant to drink now but the acidity gives it room to age. (2 bottles)

Lewis Chardonnay Napa 2007  

A rich, opulent style, this is full-blown, with a bold yet elegant mix of ripe fig, pear, citrus and melon flavors, ending with hints of mineral and butterscotch. WS 93 (2 bottles) 

Calera Mt. Harlan Chardonnay 2008

Owner Josh Jensen was hell-bent on finding limestone-rich soil for a vineyard and sure enough, he found what he was looking for in Monterey County.  The wine is bright and vibrant with only a touch of oak. (2 bottles) 

Maldonado Los Olivos Chardonnay 2007

This is a racy yet weighty Chardonnay that starts with brilliant aromas of pear, peaches, flowers, and spice.  Vivacious and fruit-driven with nice minerality that keeps the flavors lively on the palate.  It has vibrant and beautifully integrated flavors of Bosc pear, nectarine, white peaches, Meyer Lemon and vanilla. (2 bottles) 

Chalk Hill Chardonnay 2007

The light straw/gold-hued wine reveals an attractive bouquet of smoky hazelnuts, nectarines, and buttered citrus, medium to full body, and good freshness and acidity.  RP 90 (1 bottle)

Nickel & Nickel Truchard Chardonnay 2007

The Truchards make an estate Chardonnay under their own label, but also sell fruit to Nickel & Nickel. In either case, the signature note you’ll find in the wine is a pure, slightly sweet fruitiness recalling a perfectly ripened peach. This bottling also shows a very tasteful accent of spicy oak, but it is very subtle, which permits the purity of the fruit to shine. (1 bottle) 

Flowers Andreen Gale Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 2006

The wine is composed mostly of fruit from the Camp Meeting Ridge Vineyard on the Sonoma Coast, with additional fruit coming from cool-climate Sonoma Coast vineyards. Its fruit is clean and vibrant, tending toward citrus and flowers with good acidity and mineral notes enveloping the whole. Wine & Spirits: 91 (1 bottle)

Arrowood Chardonnay 2007

The wine goes through 100% barrel and malolactic fermentation and it displays pure notes of citrus blossoms, white currants, brioche, green apples, and hints of clove as well as vanilla. It is a mid-weight, crisp, elegant white. (1 bottle)

Williams Selyem Hawk Hill Chardonnay 2007

This wine displays copious amounts of white corn, honeyed pear, and tropical fruit characteristics in a full-bodied style with zesty acidity, admirable focus, and a medium to full-bodied, rich finish. RP 91 (1 bottle) 

Gary Farrell Russian River Selection Chardonnay 2006

This wine has a compact band of earthy citrus, pear, mineral and light oak shadings and is well-focused and expansive on the finish. (1 bottle)
