COLGIN
1 – 750 ml bottles each – 3 bottles total
Colgin is one of the reference points for just what heights mountain-grown Cabernet Sauvignon, Bordeaux varietals, and more recently, Syrah, can achieve in Napa Valley. This beautiful estate and winery overlooking Lake Hennessey is owned by Joe Wender and his wife, Ann Colgin who are assisted by David Abreu.
Colgin Herb Lamb Cabernet Sauvignon 2001
Chocolatey, blackberry, blueberry, herbal tea, and floral notes are apparent in this densely saturated purple-colored 2001. Thick, juicy, succulent, black creme de cassis and licorice-infused flavors proliferate. Sweet tannin, a beautiful texture, and superb purity as well as delineation suggest this stunning Cabernet may be the best Herb Lamb since the 1997. Â RP 95
