Carlisle Zinfandel Martinelli Road Vineyard 2009

Earthy, peppery, spicy notes intermixed with hints of lavender, black cherries, plums, figs and forest floor emerge from this spicy cuvee. It displays great intensity, massive richness and a huge, unctuously textured finish. RP 96 (3 -750 ml bottles)

Carlisle Zinfandel Montafi Ranch 2009

This is composed of 89% Zinfandel and 11% mixed blacks, and is phenomenal. Dark, jammy black raspberry notes intermixed with sweet black cherries, blackberries, licorice, charcoal and underbrush are present in this complex, full-bodied, massive yet impressively well-balanced offering. Carlisle Zinfandel Monte Rosso Vineyard 2009

A prodigious effort, the  wine is a blend of 94% Zinfandel and 6% Grand Noir. It is undeniably one of the grand cru vineyard sites in California. The wine was aged in 100% French oak of which 27% was new. This compelling Zinfandel boasts a dense ruby/purple color followed by notes of blueberries, black raspberries, cherries, pepper and bouquet garni. Full-bodied with sensational intensity, texture and length, this stunning effort is a tribute to the glories of old vine Zinfandel. RP 96 (1 – 1.5 Liter bottle)
