D’Arenberg Dead Arm Shiraz 2002

This wine exhibits loads of cassis, asphalt, smoke, and barbecue spice-like aromas along with full-bodied flavors. RP 93

D’Arenberg Dead Arm Shiraz 2003

One of this estate’s flagship wines, this wine is a deep, rich, full-bodied offering that spent time in equal parts French and American oak; it possesses an opaque purple color, great intensity, and a fabulously sweet nose of blackberries, cassis, asphalt, earth, and oak. Powerful, super-concentrated, and obviously fashioned from low yields and old vines, this is a classic McLaren Vale old vine Shiraz. RP 95

D’Arenberg Dead Arm Shiraz 2004

The renowned wine, fashioned from ancient head-pruned vines, is stunning. An inky/purple color is accompanied by a glorious perfume of creosote/melted road tar, blackberry and cassis liqueur, pepper, and spice.  RP 95+

D’Arenberg Dead Arm Shiraz 2005

This wine was aged for 22 months in a mix of new and used French and American oak. It is opaque purple/black with an expansive perfume of toast, smoke, spice box, mineral, pencil lead, tar, licorice, blueberry, and blackberry. It is full-bodied, opulent, and super-concentrated. RP 95

D’Arenberg Dead Arm Shiraz 2006

The wine is opaque purple-colored and the nose is reticent but gives up aromas of meat, bacon, game, truffles, blueberry, and blackberry. It is firm, layered, and complex. RP 95+ (4 bottles)
