Mollydooker Velvet Glove 2009
The wine is 100% Shiraz matured in American oak, 97% new. Very deep garnet purple colored, it gives intense warm blackberry, choco-mint, smoked bacon and marmite-toast aromas with nuances of coffee, roasted nuts and vanilla. Floral notes of violets and potpourri emerge after a few minutes. Very rich, very crisp, concentrated and full, there’s a good backbone of firm, very fine tannins and crisp acid leading into the very long and layered finish. RP 97+
Mollydooker Carnival of Love 2009
This wine is 100% Shiraz coming from a single vineyard of 9 year old vines and matured in 97% new and 3% one year American oak. Very deep garnet-purple colored, it gives intense creme de cassis, vanilla, spice, mocha and licorice notes. Crisp and firmly structured with a high level of grainy tannins, this is a full-bodied, powerful Shiraz with a great deal of ripe dense fruit giving very good persistence. RP 93
Mollydooker Blue Eyed Boy 2009
The wine has 20% Langhorne Creek and 80% McLaren Vale blend matured in 71% new and 29% 1 year American oak. Very deep garnet-purple colored, it is profoundly scented of blueberry and black cherry with touches of mint, mocha and the faintest whiff of damp loam. Very full-bodied, the bold, ultra-ripe fruit is well supported by medium-firm chewy tannins and medium-high acid, leading to a very long and pure if slightly warm finish. RP 92
Mollydooker Enchanted Path 2009
A blend of 66% Shiraz and 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine was matured in 97% American and 3% French oak, 85% new and 15% one year. Very deep garnet-purple, it has a great intensity of cassis, blackberry, violet and eucalypt aromas with a whiff of coffee. Crisp in the full-bodied mouth, it has medium-firm very finely grained tannins, finishing long. RP 93
Mollydooker Boxer 2009
Matured in American oak, 57% new, this wine has a very deep garnet-purple color and intense blackberry, licorice, tar, menthol and cocoa bean aromas. Very full-bodied and with medium-firm fine-grained tannins and generous, warm-berry flesh, it is nicely balanced by crisp acid, finishing long. RP 91
