QUILCEDA CREEK

Quilceda Creek, Washington’s twelfth bonded winery, was founded in 1978 by Alex and Jeanette Golitzin. The winery, located in Snohomish and named after a nearby creek, is the standard bearer for Washington wine. It is a banner the winery has carried high, receiving three 100-point scores and two 99-point scores from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate in the last five vintages. 

Quilceda Creek Palengat Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

This is the first vintage of the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Palengat Vineyard, located in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA. The wine also contains 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. Purple-colored, it offers up a splendid perfume of wood smoke, spice box, espresso, violets, black currant, and blackberry. Full-bodied, plush, and concentrated, it is already revealing considerable complexity despite the youth of the vines. The wine retains a sense of elegance, a trademark of all of Quilceda Creek’s wines. RP 95 (2 Bottles)

 

Quilceda Creek Galitzine Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Galitzine Vineyard, located in the Red Mountain AVA, is 100% varietal. Dark ruby/purple in color, it delivers an enticing nose of pain grille, earth notes, spice box, violets, and assorted black fruits. On the palate it is dense, ripe, full-bodied, and structured. RP 96 (2 Bottles)

Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon 2007

Not yet rated, but Quilceda Creek believes that this is their best wine ever! RP 100 (2 Bottles)
